Thank you Tracy for initially Trusting Bridal Beginnings to bring your vision for your wedding day to life, and then sharing all your reflections about that day with us.

How long were you dating your groom to be before he proposed?

5 Years

What was your single most favourite moment from when he proposed?

Dugan could not even get the words out to ask the question. The Ring was presented in Chocolate Ring Box. The Airplane as a handle for the box lid because we meet working at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel.

How long was your engagement before you said “We do”?

10 months

EDITORS NOTES – Tracy and Dugan Started their day out with a traditional Tea Ceremony,

held in one of the smaller studio Rooms at the Fairmont Pacific Rim. I love how Tracy smile

lights up the room!!!

Tell us a bit about the wedding you’re planning: style, theme, feel, and colors?

Purple No theme – just wanted an elegant setting Wanted to use darker fall colours – purple, orange and green

What part of the wedding were you most looking forward to? Did it live up to the dream?

The party – and yes it was great!!!

What is the ONE MUST HAVE item/detail/service that you would recommend to a bride-to-be ?

The live music from Colin Bullock was incredible and gave the ceremony and dinner a very nice added touch

What was your most favourite moment with your husband at your wedding?

When Dugan gave his speech 🙂

How did you pick your ceremony and reception venues? What do you love most about each space?

My husband works at Pacific Rim and we both work for Fairmont, so we knew that was the place we would get great food and service.

Tell us about planning with your fiancé. Has it gone smoothly? Is he more involved, or hands-off?

Planning went very well. we both work in the banquet industry so we were very organized. My husband was very involved as he works at the venue we were married at. He customized the menu, picked the wines and made the floor plans and seating charts.

Which part of your wedding have you been most intentional about planning?

The food and wine

Any advice you’d like to pass along to fellow brides?

Take time for yourself on your wedding day to step back and take everything in as it passes by very quickly .

What wedding-related decision have you been the most indecisive on?

The DJ was the most difficult thing to agree on

If you had to pick three top priorities for your budget, what would they be and why? Are your fiancé’s priorities different?

Number 1 was FOOD

Number 2 Was Good flow to the evening

Number 3 Was an Open bar

All of the above is to make sure your guests enjoy themselves

What big changes/additions have you made as a family since saying “We Do”
