Here is a look back at Tracy & Dugan’s Beautiful Fall wedding, held at the Incredible Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel, one of my personal FAVOURITE properties in all Vancouver … if a Hotel could “Sexy” this one is 100%!!!

How long were you dating your groom to be before he proposed?
5 Years
What was your single most favourite moment from when he proposed?
Dugan could not even get the words out to ask the question. The Ring was presented in Chocolate Ring Box. The Airplane as a handle for the box lid because we meet working at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel.
How long was your engagement before you said “We do”?
10 months

Tell us a bit about the wedding you’re planning: style, theme, feel, and colors?
Purple No theme – just wanted an elegant setting Wanted to use darker fall colours – purple, orange and green
Did you DIYing any of your details?
Our guest gifts – airplane cookies – Fairmont Vancouver airports signature cookie
What part of the wedding were you most looking forward to? Did it live up to the dream?
The party – and yes it was great!!!
What is the ONE MUST HAVE item/detail/service that you would recommend to a bride-to-be ?
The live music from Colin Bullock was incredible and gave the ceremony and dinner a very nice added touch
What was your most favourite moment with your husband at your wedding?
When Dugan gave his speech 🙂
How did you pick your ceremony and reception venues? What do you love most about each space?
My husband works at Pacific Rim and we both work for Fairmont, so we knew that was the place we would get great food and service.
Tell us about planning with your fiancé. Has it gone smoothly? Is he more involved, or hands-off?
Planning went very well. we both work in the banquet industry so we were very organized. My husband was very involved as he works at the venue we were married at. He customized the menu, picked the wines and made the floor plans and seating charts.
Which part of your wedding have you been most intentional about planning?
The food and wine
Any advice you’d like to pass along to fellow brides?
Take time for yourself on your wedding day to step back and take everything in as it passes by very quickly .
What wedding-related decision have you been the most indecisive on?
The DJ was the most difficult thing to agree on
If you had to pick three top priorities for your budget, what would they be and why? Are your fiancé’s priorities different?
Number 1 was FOOD
Number 2 Was Good flow to the evening
Number 3 Was an Open bar
All of the above is to make sure your guests enjoy themselves
What big changes/additions have you made as a family since saying “We Do”
Our new addition to our family. Our daughter Peyton
