Jamie & Jim | Rustic Backyard Wedding| Coquitlam Florist

Posted on

What can i say about Jamie and Jim but ADORABLE!! Jamie first contacting me in the spring regarding her destination wedding in Jim’s family backyard in Coquitlam. Even though they were planning their wedding from Singapore, but were amazing to communicate with.  After an exchange of emails, photos etc, a visit to Jim’s families backyard in Coquitlam, I had a clear idea on their vision for their Destination Celebration with their Canadian family and Friends.

“I love to work with Larissa and her team very much. If anyone need flower/decor service i would highly recommend Bridal Beginnings, they really provide everything you looked for, as long as you’re clear enough about your theme and vision, they work just perfectly to match your ideas! Once again i would like to thank Larissa, Scott and Marlee for their professionalism towards the process from planning, servicing, and all deliveries on the actual day. They even arrive half an hour earlier than promised time to start the decor. They will make your wedding day…so so so romantic and beautiful….. JUST AS YOU WISH!!! 🙂  Thanks again Bridal Beginnings!!!  love&hugs, Jamie&Jim”

Jamie and Jim arrived in Canada with a suitcase full of surprise to personalize their wedding; even though she only had a few days to execute the details, Jamie made ribbons bunting, burlap banners, her seating chart and then set up the backyard to herself (with families help) so that it was just right!!

Jamie had a specific vision for their ceremony and was looking for a rustic archway and centrepiece – here is when having a Super Handyman Husband comes in hand. Scott made this stunning archway from  fallen Aspen trees from our property north of Peachland, used Reclaimed Barn boards for the bases, and then cut up recently fallen Beetle Killed Pine trees into Rustic wood rounds. I love how Scott can re-cycle materials into something new and wonderful.

My amazing assistant Marlee step in for the day and assisted with day of co-ordination (PS she is available for booking this upcoming season), and what a fabulous job she did … thank you Flowerella for making sure Jamie and Jim’s details were executed perfectly, and their ceremony ran smoothly, even without a rehearsal

After the ceremony they cut their cake, which was provided by another of my favourite coquitlam vendors (and past bride’s)  Jennifer Stafford Events

Their intimate dinner reception was held under a canopy of white light and hanging lanterns – notice how those black clouds from earlier in the morning are all gone, leaving them with a perfect evening for their dinner under the twinkle of the stars

Thank you so much for trusting us to bring your vision to life – you both were so easy to work with, it was a true pleasure being part of you day. Many extra thanks to Naomi from Pineapple Studio in Malaysia, she travelled to Canada to be here for their special day, and for sharing her stunning images with us.
