Saar Bank Farm | Brittany & Scott | Heirloom Magazine

I love love love working with a vintage and/or rustic theme, there are so many different avenues of design you can explore, and with the inclusion of special heritage pieces from your family  collection, it adds a personal element to any event.

In the summer of 2011 I was asked by one of my FAVOURITE families to help with their second daughters wedding, which was to be held at Saar Bank Farm on the Sumas Prairie, in South Abbotsford. An amazing venue to work at, with sooo many design opportunities.

When Brittany first emailed us about her vision she included “ roses, hydrangea, the artichoke with a Classy country outdoor feel …” My response to her was “you had me at Artichoke ”
The Bridal Beginnings team was given free range to transform this space, and we had SOOO much fun. Several buckets of flowers (many from the bride’s family personal garden), Collection of vase, accessories and nick nack, were at our disposal. The end result was better then I could have imagined

“We loved everything you and Marlee did.  We were totally wowed by every little detail.  I can’t begin to thank you enough.  Everything turned out lovely. …… Grace (mother of the bride)”

Many thanks to Tanis Patenaude from Tanis Katie Photography   for the stunning images. As a result, Brittany and Scott’s wedding was featured on Heirloom Magazine  blog.

Kirsten & Sheldon | Richmond | UBC Boathouse

Kirsten and Sheldon knew that by picking a wedding date in February, they were probably going to have to contend with some not so wedding like weather , but once again Mother Nature proofed she can deliver the best wedding gift of all … SUN!!

Their Day started off with a First look session at River Rock Casino, photographed by the ever talented Audra’s Photography

Dear Team at Bridal Beginnings -

Bridal Beginnings was fantastic! The bouquets turned out exactly how I wanted and imagined them to be, and they all looked amazing. Larissa made the suggestion to have an extra boutonierre for the groom and it turned out to be such a great idea, because after the receiving line, we had no idea where my husband’s boutonierre was!! Luckily, thanks to Larissa’s suggestion, we had an extra one for the pictures:)

Thank You

Kirsten

To see their day in it’s entirety, take a peak at Audra’s Blog post …. Thank you again for sharing these amazing images with us.
